The Soul Reflection Project™ -Listening for the Wisdom That Lives Within Us
For many years, I have been asking a simple question:
How do we find our way to our deepest, truest Self—and live from there?
That question has quietly guided my own life, my work with others, and now the book I am writing. As the book has begun to take shape, I have felt increasingly called to weave many voices into this exploration—not only my own.
As a young child, I remember standing on the back porch of my childhood home, feeling one with the apple trees, peach trees, grass, sky, and all of life. Even when my early home life was painful and uncertain, I sensed a larger presence holding everything. It gave me a deep sense of courage and aliveness.
At six, while singing This Little Light of Mine in Sunday school, I felt the Divine glowing through me.
I experienced physical, emotional, and sexual abuse growing up, and those experiences profoundly affected how I saw myself, others, and God. Yet as a teenager, I continued reaching toward that larger presence through prayer, playing my guitar, and writing private devotional songs. At times, that connection felt like the way I kept hope alive.
Those early experiences became quiet seeds for a lifelong devotion to healing, spiritual remembering, and helping others recognize the light and wisdom within themselves.
At 17, I left home and began a new life in California with $30 in my pocket. I knew I had to leave in order to survive and find another way of living.
I entered college as an art major, carrying a deep creative spirit, but soon discovered psychology and knew I had found my life’s work. From the beginning, I was drawn not only to healing trauma, but to helping people recognize their deeper potential and their capacity to live with greater meaning, connection, and presence.
Over the decades, one question has continued to return in different forms: How do we discover meaning, spiritual connection, and even the Divine through the difficult and dark passages of our lives?
That question—and many others like it—has led me to create The Soul Reflection Project™.
I would love to invite you to add your own voice.
The Soul Reflection Project is a living exploration of the questions that invite us to reflect more deeply on our inner lives, our spiritual unfolding, the darkness that teaches us, and the wholeness that perhaps was never truly lost.
I have come to believe that within every human being lives a wisdom that cannot be given by another. It can only be discovered, listened for, and perhaps remembered.
These questions are not meant to lead you toward my answers. They are an invitation to listen more deeply for your own.
My hope is that the experience of completing the questionnaire may offer you insights, openings, or even questions you have not considered before. Your reflections will also help inform the book I am now writing and allow a much wider range of lived experience and wisdom to become part of this exploration.
If you feel drawn to participate, you can complete The Soul Reflection Project questionnaire by clicking the button below.
As a small gift of appreciation, I would be honored to send you a complimentary e-book copy when the book is completed. If you would like to receive it, you may leave your email address at the end of the questionnaire.
Thank you for walking beside me in this project.
Your voice matters.
Your questions matter.
Your lived wisdom matters.
With deep appreciation and love,
